Airial

What it is

Airial is an AI travel planner from a San Francisco startup founded in 2023 by former Meta and Waymo engineers. You describe the trip you want, or paste a link to a social travel video, and it assembles a day-by-day itinerary that includes flight options, hotel picks, transport between cities, meals and activities. Plans can be tailored around interests such as food, history, hiking or family travel, and you refine them conversationally, for example by swapping a flight for a train or adding a day trip. Groups can plan together, and sample itineraries show booking prices. A mobile app is listed as coming soon, with a separate offering for travel businesses.

Editor's notes

More context from AI BirdView

Most trip planners stop at a list of attractions, leaving you to figure out how the pieces connect. Airial focuses on the logistics as well, stitching flights, hotels and transfers into one plan across several cities. Its ability to read a travel video you saved on social media and turn it into a real itinerary is a clever answer to how many people now discover destinations.

Instant trip plans include flights, hotels, meals and activities rather than a loose outline.
Dropping in a TikTok or Reels link produces a plan built around the places in that video.
Interest filters such as food tours, architecture, outdoors and family friendly shape the suggestions.
Changes happen through chat, so you can swap transport modes or add a day trip without starting over.
The founders previously built AI products at Meta, Google and Waymo, according to press coverage of the company's seed round.

It is best for travelers planning multi-city trips who want a realistic, connected plan in minutes. A practical tip: give Airial your departure city and rough budget up front so flight and hotel suggestions match your situation, then fine-tune individual days through chat.
