Google Flight Deals
What it is
Google Flight Deals is an AI-powered search experience within Google Flights aimed at travelers who care more about saving money than about fixed dates or destinations. Instead of filling in airports and dates, you describe a trip in natural language, such as a week somewhere warm this winter with nonstop flights, and the tool searches Google Flights inventory to suggest matching destinations and fares. Results are ranked by how much you save compared with typical prices, and it can surface places you had not considered. Google says it runs on a custom version of Gemini. It launched in 2025 as a beta and has since expanded to many more countries and languages.

Editor's notes
More context from AI BirdView
Flight Deals is a nice example of AI making an existing tool friendlier rather than replacing it. Google Flights has long been strong for comparing fares, but it expects you to know where and when you want to go. This mode flips that around, letting you describe the kind of trip you want and letting the search do the brainstorming.
- Accepts conversational requests that mix timing, trip length, interests and flight preferences
- Ranks results by percentage saved, putting the strongest bargains first
- Suggests destinations you might not have searched for on your own
- Uses the same fare data that powers regular Google Flights
- Free to use and available in many countries and languages, according to Google
It is best for flexible travelers, students and weekend adventurers whose main goal is a good price rather than a specific city or date. A practical tip: include the things that matter most, such as nonstop only, a maximum trip length or a month, in your description, and once you find a promising fare, switch to the regular Google Flights view to set a price alert before booking.
