XDownloader

This lightweight browser tool does one job well, saving public media from X posts without accounts, apps or clutter. It goes a little further than most basic downloaders by offering audio conversion, batch links and post screenshots in the same page.

• Video downloads come in whichever MP4 quality variants the original post exposes, so you always get the best version available.
• An MP3 option extracts audio at 192 kbps, and the conversion runs locally in your browser rather than on a server.
• A bulk mode resolves up to 10 links at once, which saves time when collecting clips for research or a project.
• You can also capture a clean PNG screenshot of a post, useful for presentations or reporting.
• It works in desktop, tablet and mobile browsers, and an optional Chrome extension adds a one-click shortcut.

The site says it keeps no download history and does not permanently host videos, and it only processes public posts, leaving protected or restricted content alone. It is handy for social media managers, journalists, researchers and creators archiving their own posts. Always respect the original creator's rights when reusing media, and use the bulk mode when you need several clips from the same thread or campaign.
